Maliba skills training and development program

Maliba skills training and development program

Besides the basic education sponsorship opportunity given to every child and youth under the Maliba children care program, there will be a youth skilling program intended to equip all youths who go through our care and support program with practical skills that can sustain their livelihood even after they are no longer under the direct support of the project.

Tailoring/fashion and design, crafts shoe making, making jewellery like necklaces and bungles out of paper and other waste materials are some of the cheaper and easier skills that can creatively be taught to youth at the project, besides the more technical skill sets (i.e.; carpentry, masonry, welding and plumbing) these can be learned at technical institutions for those that will choose pursue that path. Teaching these disadvantaged young people practical skills early on in life prepares them to self sustain even when faced with uncertainties of life ahead. Maliba Grace Orphans Charity Fund envisions giving schooling opportunity to as many vulnerable children as possible and it’s in our plan to kick-start a school construction project; Maliba Grace Orphanage School by the third year of our existence. Our projection is to cut down the school fees and other costs that will be better managed at our school.
